Educational work at the department is realized through joint educational, scientific, creative activity of the teachers and students. The collective of the department pays much attention to the education of future specialists, involving them in research work, participation in conferences, exhibitions and competitions.
Educational work is carried out according to the plan and schedules of student visits for 2015 - 2016 educational years, approved at the methodical meeting of the department of 27.08.2015 (Protocol №1).
The department maintains the relevant documentation on educational work:
- plan of the educational work at the department, which provides for the formation of students' kindness, diligence, development of individual abilities of each student, education of an active life position.
- a calendar of curators;
- individual curators' plans;
Students are actively involved in research work, the activities of the Council of Young Scientists; Student scientific conferences, olympiads, seminars, lectures, practical master classes, competitions are organized. February 9, 2015. students-dentists on the initiative of the dean of the stomatological faculty conducted an action "Let's care teeth healthy".
Students of the Ternopil State Medical University were assisted by representatives of the «Unity» Volunteer Initiative.
Group curators, assistants of the Department of Orthopedic Dentistry, regularly attend students living in the hostel number 3. Attention is paid to the sanitary and hygienic living conditions, students' compliance with the rules of living in a hostel, organizing recreation, fire safety.
Student community of the Ternopil State Medical University named after I. Ya. Gorbachevsky February 18, 2015 began a series of events honoring the feat of the participants of the Revolution of Dignity and perpetuating the memory of the Heroes of Heavenly Hundreds in the conduct of the online conference "We support Ukraine". There were conversations with curatorial groups on the theme "Heroic history of the Ukrainian people, their culture and traditions".
In order to simplify the adaptation of foreign students to study and living conditions in Ukraine, discussions with supervisory groups are conducted, and Ukrainian language courses are organized.
For the purpose of aesthetic education, club of cheerful and resourceful (CCR) festivals are held, clubs and clubs are organized, museums, theater performances, art exhibitions are visited by students, excursions to historic places are organized.

October 15-16, 2015 joint efforts of the departments of orthopedic and therapeutic dentistry, namely PhD Hasyuk P. and PhD Gasyuk N., a two-day practical "master class" was organized on the topic "Elegant simplicity of the restoration of the frontal group of teeth according to the recommendations of STYLE ITALIANO" on the basis of the department of orthopedic dentistry. "Andrey Zhuikov, representative of the 3M Ukraine corporation shared his experience with young specialists. The students of the curator groups took an active part in the event and had the opportunity to experience the advanced technologies of modern dentistry on their own experience.

November 17, 2015 the staff of the department congratulated the students on the International Student's Day. On the initiative of the assistant of the Department of Orthopedic Dentistry Dzetsiukh T. greeting cards were prepared with wishes for students.

November 30, 2015 assistant of the Department of Orthopedic Dentistry Demkovich A. conducted a tour of the city to foreign students of curatorial groups, in particular, visited the Park.
December 1, 2015 in I. Horbachevsky Ternopil State Medical University started the action "The Box of Courage", designed to help patients of the hematology department of the Ternopil City Children's Hospital recover faster after chemotherapy, initiated by the assistant of the Department of Orthopedic Dentistry Dzetsiukh T. The teachers of the department and students of various courses actively participate in the action, in particular actively - with curatorial groups.
The staff of the department with students of curatorial groups prepared gifts for patients of the hematology department of the Ternopil Children's Hospital with the action "The Box of Courage".
Action "Box of Courage" within the framework of the project "Let's return a happy childhood to children with cancer", ended December 19, 2015 on the day of St. Nicholas a bright and incredibly emotional chord. In the morning, small patients of the hematological department of the Ternopil Communal Children's Hospital looked at the windows, waiting for the arrival of students and teachers of the TSMU. For the past two weeks, future physicians have become real helpers of Nicholas, buying, collecting and forming gifts, "said the press secretary of the university's medical school, Janina Chaykivska. - The initiative of organization of such an event belongs to the assistant of the chair of orthopedic stomatology Tetiana Dzetsiukh. Her sincere call to help oncologically ill children was supported by young people and teachers.
